Working with the Timeline

The time-line is used to show all events in a chronological order. Each row represents the main tag which is used in the analysis dashboard. On each row you will find all events related to this tag. The time line has a playhead which can be moved over the timeline scale. The scale displays the minutes and seconds of the video you are working with. The video player window will still remain visible so you can continue reviewing the play situations of the game/actions you are analyzing.

When you select the button Timeline at the left side of the analysis dahsboard, it will appear highlighted in a green border. As soon as it is clicked, rows with color blocks and name of the tags will appear. Each row will have events displayed in chronological
order.

The playhead is an indicator of the video player and displays the current position of it in the video connected to the project. The playhead can be moved to the left or right in the event you choose to change its position in the video. When it is moved, the video will start to play from this position.

Each tagged event appears on the timeline. The event is displayed with the color of the tag and is bordered by the shirt colors of the respective team. This allows a fast recognition of each event.
The borders also represent the duration of the event made up of the lead time and the lag time together.

Under the timeline you will find two functions which can affect it. The first is zooming in or out on the timeline. When there are multiple events in the timeline, you can zoom out for a better overview on all tagged events. To go into more details, you can zoom in on the timeline and find the specific event. The other option is a slider where you can move the timeline from left to right, going from the beginning of the video to the end of the video.

The playhead may sometimes not appear in the time scale of the timeline. To immediately find the playhead, click on the ‘+’ button and move directly to the spot where the playhead is located.

Once you begin using the timeline, you can "right click" using your mouse to display a list of options. Events appear with borders indicating the start/stop mark and bear the colors you have chosen for the respective teams at the begining of your project. As soon as you have clicked an event in a row, you can ‘Add a new play in ...’ The dashpoints will show the name of the row. The other options are similar to those in the ‘Tags List’ when you selected an event using the ‘right click" button of the mouse.
